Clinical Background
Dr. Weller began practicing clinical psychology in 2010 under the supervision of licensed clinical psychologists. During his doctoral program, he completed clinical training in the San Francisco Bay Area at a correctional facility in Solano County, at the Berkeley Cognitive Behavioral Therapy Clinic (Berkeley CBT Clinic), an inpatient psychiatric emergency hospital in Alameda County, and in private practice in the Bay Area as a Psychological Assistant, that specialized in evidence-based treatments. Dr. Weller completed his Pre-Doctoral Internship and Post-Doctoral Training at a forensic setting in Los Angeles where he conducted individual therapy, group therapy, and forensic-related assessments.
Executive Leadership Background
Beyond the therapy room, Dr. Weller serves as Executive Director for a large social services non-profit, leading a team of over 500 staff and managing a half-billion-dollar combined budget. He was appointed to the position by the Board of Directors on October 3, 2022. Dr. Weller oversees the services and supports for over 17,000 people with developmental and intellectual disabilities in the San Gabirel/Pomona Region within Los Angeles County. This unique combination of roles has given him a deep understanding of stressors, responsibility, and the complexities of balancing professional and personal well-being in high-demand careers.
